Top 7 Ways to Have a Healthy Spring

Spring has finally arrived! It's that special time of year when people begin to break out their shorts and lighter jackets, and start reveling in a little more sunshine.

We love spring because it's a great time to reassess health, and make sure we are on track with reaching our goals. Here are our favorite tips for soaking up the joy of a happy and healthy spring season!

7 Ways to Have a Healthy Spring

  • Do some spring cleaning, for your body!
This is a great time to jumpstart your health for the new season. Start with cleaning up your diet, such as drinking fresh nutrient-rich smoothies as your daily breakfasts every day for the next month. Maybe even go the next few weeks without drinking alcohol, and substitute True Wildberry Lemonade with seltzer water whenever you have a craving.
  • Move workouts outside again.
There are some wonderful benefits to getting out of the gym, and back into nature again! Being in the sunlight is essential for absorption of vitamin D (which were often low on during the dark winter), and seeing the budding trees and flowers will help to boost mood. Even volunteering at a community garden or visiting a park for a long walk will do wonders for energy levels, and get your spring outlook started right!
  • Check-in on your New Years Resolutions.
Now that were 3-months into the new year, how are your resolutions coming along? Are you on track, or do you need to re-boot your efforts? No matter what the circumstances, there is no better time than now to begin again.
  • Schedule some doctor's visits.
Get your health goals back on track, and set up appointments for any check-ups you've been putting off. Schedule a blood test to make sure your body is functioning optimally. Talk to your doctor and/or nutritionist to set up a plan for finding the best wellness plan for you.
  • Get your rest!
It may be tempting to stay up later now that the days are beginning to get longer, but now it is more important than ever to get plenty of sleep. Spring is when you begin to exert more energy throughout the day, while at the same time your nighttime schedule may be changing (if you live somewhere with Daylight Savings).

Are you as excited for spring as we are?
